About Me

DMLeedie

First and foremost, I love what I do and believe being given the opportunity to sit with people through their struggles, sorrows and joy is truly a gift in my life. Second of all, every person’s therapy is unique to that person. I do not specialize in “fixing” people. I do not have a magic wand nor do I have the ability to save people. I follow a certain process to begin to understand new clients, and from there the therapy takes on its own path. The relationship that you and I develop will be a major way that we will be able to make change in your life. I am an active therapist during sessions and have a slightly informal style. I find that much laughter also occurs in my sessions. However, I will challenge you along the way to identify what change will look like for you and encourage you to make the changes you want to make in your life.  We can incorporate different techniques in our sessions and we do not always have to talk for our entire session.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, family, and friends. I am a HUGE music fan. From Country to 90's alternative to Top 40 to Big Band to Classic Rock to just about anything...I enjoy it all. DIY and repurposing projects are a big hobby of mine. During football season you can find me rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. I moved to BN in 2009 but was born and raised outside Philadelphia and lived there until I moved to Arizona for college. I love coffee and will probably be drinking a cup when you and I meet! Feel free to bring yours (or grab a cup here) and let's get started...
